Hummer Car History

You would be amazed when you see the Hummer on the road. Not only because of unusual size, design Hummer was so macho when viewed.

but you know, that in the beginning, Hummer created just for military purposes by the creator, namely, AM General Corporation. However, for various reasons, this war vehicles eventually made civilian purposes. The term for Hummer is the civilian version of the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, or HMMWV abbreviated but often pronounced as Humvee.

However, although intended for the purposes of 'ordinary people', a trial in a civilian version turns out it's not kidding. Due to this giant vehicle test, the manufacturers deliberately make a journey from London to Beijing. Itineraries this is not an easy path. Therefore, it must pass through heavy 'central region' of the former Soviet Union. While the military version of the direct even be included in Operation Desert Storm.

The first civilian version was issued in 1992 H1. This vehicle is based on the military version 'Humvee M998'. This first-generation Hummer into the category of off-road automobile famous giant all-terrain resilient.

The difference between civilian version / H1 and the military version / Humvee (HMMWV) is actually very little. And more seen as an adjustment purposes such as weapons and bulletproof steel coatings that are not owned by H1.

And because the H1 is intended as a civilian vehicle, then, the inside of the H1 was made more comfortable. As the seat is made more comfortable, more attractive trim, and the interior has been equipped with air conditioning and stereo sets. However, for technical issues such as power, chassis, body, or suspension, is no different from a Humvee H1.

Hummer then enter a new phase when the H2 models released to the market in 2003. Visually, H2 models look slimmer, longer, taller and lighter than its predecessor H1.

H2 models itself into the category of a sport utility vehicle or SUV, but there is also a version of the H2 Sport Utility Truck or SUT where H2 modified by dressing like a model on his truck. H2 itself is actually a clever combination of various trucks in America as GM GMT820 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. The front of the H2 even a modification of the frame of the series GM 2500 and GM 1500 series on the back.

Then in 2006 introduced the latest model of the Hummer which was later named H3. This third generation, fairly revolutionary. Because it is very much different from the first generation, namely, H1.

However, the market response to this model turned out to be very positive. Evidently although this generation has in common with the GMT345 platform, GM *** 5, the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyo, H3 still able to generate 74 percent of sales of all models of Hummer ever.

Until finally in early 2008 appear the most named Hummer HX. This model is more 'betrayed' his ancestors H1, because there is no longer frightening impression left from this model. HX even have a smaller body than the H3 that have been 'minor'. With a variety of body parts that can be dislodged as roofs, doors, etc.

This further implies HX as a true commercial vehicle. Although even the ease of removing these body parts provide benefits such as making HX to be very light when taken off-road up can easily pass through a mud puddle. Still, valor legend Hummer has been widely eroded.

Have recently emerged even the latest models of Hummer, namely, the H3T. Models who despite having a trough behind it, even still looks very feminine, although the typical muscle Hummer still visible on his body.
